Dead Power Filter

The power filter in the cube tank died sometime Sunday morning, leaving the tank filled with a milky white haze. I ran off to the pet store to obtain a replacement as soon as I noticed the problem. Upon my return, I changed out about half of the water and installed the new filter.

Twenty four hours later the water appears to have cleared, and the inhabitants (six neon tetras, a bunch of aquatic plants, and a bushel of snails) seem unharmed.
